The thrash metal drummer was allegedly seen involved in a disturbing domestic dispute with his partner and son

WARNING: The following report contains discussions and images of domestic abuse.

Jon Allen, the drummer for Californian thrash metal band Sadus, has allegedly been seen in a video in which he is involved in a disturbing domestic dispute with his partner and son.

In footage shared on Facebook, the drummer is seen allegedly attacking a woman while she was hooked up to a dialysis machine and while a young child looked on. According to reports from lambgoatThe woman is Brandy Mae Collins and the attack caused serious health complications.

The outlet also highlighted how the video was uploaded by Anubis vocalist and bassist Devin Reiche, who shared the video on Facebook and stated that the incident led to Collins’ hospitalization.

“So, do you know whose music I love? SADUS. “They’re like one of my favorite bands from that late ’80s/early ’90s period where thrash metal was gradually evolving into technical death metal,” he began the caption. “THAT SAID, here’s some footage of your drummer Jon Allen beating up my friend Brandy while she was hooked up to a dialysis machine (while his elementary school-aged son watches and tries to intervene).”

He continued, “She ended up hospitalized a few days later after she started urinating blood, and it turned out that he had dislodged the catheter in her ovaries and, from what I understand, she almost died as a result.”

It’s unclear when the incident occurred, and based on images shared on Allen’s Instagram account, it appeared the two were in a relationship. It also appears to have taken place before Allen and the rest of Sadus went on a European tour with Obituary.

Collins also shared a video on Facebook, discussing the incident. In the video, she is seen crying while talking about Allen’s alleged previous violent behavior. This, he claims, includes habitual substance abuse and abuse.

She also alleges that he left her after hospitalization to continue his tour commitments, and that the other members of the band Sadus were aware of her mistreatment but did not intervene. She later claims that it has been difficult to take legal action against Allen since he is currently listed as her caretaker.

NME has contacted both Sadus and Collins for comment.

Since the images were shared, it has been widely reported that Sadus dismissed Allen from the lineup. In a statement from the band’s vocalist and guitarist, Darren Travis (via Metal injection), said: “Following recent allegations of misconduct…SADUS will be parting ways with Jon Allen…I do not condone any type of malicious behavior towards any person.”

Allen played for Sadus from its founding in 1985 until 2015, and then rejoined the lineup following its reform in 2017 until the present.
