Man seriously injured after single-vehicle crash in southeast Missouri.

SOUTHEAST Missouri (KFVS) – An Ironton man is seriously injured after crashing into a tree in southeast Missouri.

According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol Accident Report, the accident occurred around 1:55 p.m. on Friday, December 6. The driver was heading east on Highway 72, 5 miles west of Patton.

The accident occurred when a 2010 Chevrolet Cobalt left the right side of the road and struck a tree.

The driver of the Chevrolet, a 56-year-old Ironton man, was seriously injured in the crash. He was taken by ambulance to Cape Girardeau Hospital.

According to the Highway Patrol, the driver was not wearing any safety devices at the time of the accident.
