Damage and delays from Storm Darragh: what are your rights?

Damage and delays from Storm Darragh: what are your rights?

If your flight is covered by UK law, your airline must allow you to choose between getting a refund or booking an alternative flight.

You will be able to get your money back for any part of the ticket that you have not used.

So, if you booked a return flight and the outbound leg is cancelled, you can get a refund of the full cost of the return ticket.

If you still want to travel, your airline must find you an alternative flight.

If you’re stuck abroad or at the airport due to a canceled flight, airlines must also provide you with other assistance, including free food and drink, accommodation, and transportation.

If your airline is unable to organize assistance, you have the right to organize it yourself and claim the cost later.

You are entitled to the same assistance as in the case of cancellation if your flight is delayed by more than two hours.
