One seriously injured after series of accidents on Beatties Ford Road in Huntersville during winter weather

HUNTERSVILLE, N.C. (QUEEN CITY NEWS) — One person has life-threatening injuries in a crash on Beatties Ford Road in Huntersville during the winter weather on friday night. It was the first of three that occurred near the same intersection.

According to the Huntersville Fire Department, an occupant of a vehicle was trapped in a crash around 5:15 p.m. on Sample Road near Latta Nature Preserve. Then, once firefighters arrived, a second accident occurred behind his truck, and a third occurred shortly after.

The patient from the initial accident was eventually freed and transported by Medic to Novant Health Presbyterian. No injuries have been reported in the second two collisions.

Huntersville Fire officials indicated that Beatties Ford is “very slippery” as temperatures drop into the 20s and they should avoid the area.
