Investigators later learned that the woman frequently bought drugs from a “dealer” in milwaukee. Prosecutors said Karl Rieves, 30, sold the victim the drugs that ultimately killed her.

A months-long investigation revealed that Rieves and two other men, Laron Horton, 23, and Tony Robinson, 19, had been selling drugs throughout the Southeast. Wisconsin.

Court documents said detectives witnessed Rieves, Horton or Robinson involved in “at least 32 separate drug transactions” from Dec. 8 to Jan. 5.

What’s next?

Rieves is charged with first-degree reckless homicide. All three men are charged with multiple felony drug offenses.

Court records show Rieves has a long criminal history. He remains in the Ozaukee County Jail on unrelated charges.
