Cleveland Police have urged anyone who is offered medication in suspicious circumstances to contact the force (BBC).

Packages of potentially dangerous medicines are missing after a car is stolen.

The Renault Clio was being used to deliver medicines to a pharmacy when it was removed from Hollyrood Court in Middlesbrough on Friday afternoon.

Among the objects found inside the beige vehicle were packages of morphine, tramadol and insulin.

A Cleveland police spokeswoman warned that the medication could be dangerous if taken without a prescription.

The search for the thief continued and police urged anyone who was offered medication in suspicious circumstances to come forward.
