Cyclist seriously injured after hit and run in Bournemouth

A cyclist has been taken to hospital with serious injuries after suffering a hit-and-run near a roundabout.

Dorset Police said they received a report of a collision involving a vehicle and a bicycle on Castle Lane West, near the Broadway roundabout, in Bournemouth, at 22:15 GMT on Friday.

The cyclist, aged in his 20s, was taken to hospital for treatment and his family was informed, while the other vehicle involved did not stop at the scene.

Sergeant Lee Savage said anyone with information or dash cam footage should contact police.
