Every artist has their own journey, and Rajesh Khanna too saw their ups and downs. He began his career in 1966. Rajesh started out in theater before venturing into Bollywood. He made his debut in Aakhri Khat (1966), which was India’s first official entry to the Academy Awards in 1967. The film earned him all the love and fame, and within no time, Rajesh Khanna became in the mass star. He made girls go crazy for him.

Did you know that Rajesh Khanna arrived late to the set of his first film? The filming of the film was scheduled to begin at 8 in the morning, but arrived at 11 in the morning. However, the actor managed to climb the ladder of success and became India’s first superstar, holding the record of making 15 consecutive successful films. In the 60s and 70s no one could match his popularity.

As for Rajesh Khanna’s personal life, he had a total of six siblings, with Rajesh being the youngest. His father’s name was Nandlal Khanna and his mother’s name was Chandrani Devi. Rajesh’s uncle Chunnilal had no children of his own, so he adopted Rajesh. Chunnilal and his wife, Leelawati Khanna, raised Rajesh Khanna with great care and affection.

After sensational affairs, Rajesh Khanna married Dimple Kapadia in 1973. It is said that at the time of their marriage, Rajesh Khanna was almost twice Dimple’s age. The couple had two daughters, Twinkle and Rinki. However, they later separated. Although Dimple never filed for divorce, they lived separately.

In his last days he is said to have amended his will, expelled his wife from his property worth Rs 600 million and left all his assets to his daughters.
