Caroline Dubois’ rise to world champion in December capped an excellent 2025 for the family after her brother Daniel legitimized her world title reign with a dominant victory over Anthony Joshua in September.

The brothers are the second world champions (more on this later).

However, Caroline’s achievement was somewhat bittersweet. She left her family home following a breakup with her father, Stan, in 2023 and has reportedly not spoken to her brother either.

Stan and his daughter have given their sides of the feud in separate interviews, and without going into too much detail, the boxing champion says the sport provided them comfort during some “dark times.”

“I keep reminding myself of the positives and blessings instead of all the sadness and negatives that come with being a human being,” Dubois said.

“How many people are going to say they wanted to do something at nine years old and will do it at 24?

“If boxing was taken away from me tomorrow, I would be devastated. I would be devastated. So remember that when things get a little tough.”
