Temple guard Lynn Greer III suspended indefinitely from program

Lynn Greer III did not travel to Houston, Texas, for Temple’s men’s basketball game against Rice and has been suspended indefinitely due to conduct detrimental to the team, the program reported. announced on Saturday.

Greer, who transferred this offseason from St. Joseph’s, was suspended for the first nine games of the season for an infraction that occurred during his time at Hawk Hill.

Greer started three of four games once he returned and averaged 4.8 points. He missed the Owls’ American Athletic Conference opener against Wichita State for personal reasons. Greer returned to play against East Carolina on January 8, but played only five minutes off the bench in the first half.

Guard Quante Berry has shouldered most of the ball-handling responsibilities this season. He has averaged 9.3 points and 2.3 assists and will be considered to lead the offense in Greer’s absence.
