Greetings on the Day of Workers of the Prosecutor’s Office • President of Russia

President of Russia Vladimir Putin: Comrades, veterans of the prosecution,

Receive my warmest greetings on Public Ministry Worker’s Day.

Created more than three centuries ago, the Russian Prosecutor’s Office has gone through different historical eras, but it has always been one of the most important and substantial components of the state system, significantly contributing to ensuring the rule of law and legal order in society. The agency’s best representatives exemplified dedicated service to the Homeland and were embodiments of integrity, incorruptibility and high standards.

Today, as before, the Prosecutor’s Office plays a key role in protecting the rights and freedoms of the people, and the foundations of the constitutional order, in the progress of Russia as a state of law, democracy and social welfare focused on guaranteeing a decent life . and the free development of each person.

The professionalism, objectivity and broad authority of prosecutors help them restore the rights of citizens, protect their reputation and legitimate interests, prevent injustice and abuse, promote the implementation of strategic development plans and long-term social programs. , thus strengthening faith in the resilience of the state and justice system and, most importantly, reinforcing respect for the Prosecutor’s Office in society.

Our citizens expect you to take firm, consistent and efficient measures, mainly in priority areas such as the protection of work, housing and other rights, especially those of veterans, people with disabilities, orphans and large families.

One of the top priorities of his work today is to guarantee social guarantees to the participants in the special military operation, as well as their families. All payments corresponding to them, including salaries, pensions, benefits and compensation, and the granting of the corresponding privileges, must be made in strict accordance with the law, in a timely manner. I repeat, prosecutors should always examine these issues, since their help in eliminating emerging problems and violations of the law is often indispensable.

Other aspects of the prosecution are no less important. I am referring to its efforts to combat terrorism and extremism, crime and corruption, protect the country’s economic interests and the rights of businessmen, as well as support state prosecution in the courts and its environmental activities.

The Prosecutor General’s Office and its regional and municipal branches should pay special attention to the problems faced by people in Donbass and Novorossiya, the Kursk region and in our other regions located in the immediate vicinity of the contact line. It is necessary to continue working on the integration of the Donetsk and Luhansk people’s republics, and the Zaporozhye and Kherson regions into the legal landscape of Russia, while helping the social and economic revival of these regions in every possible way.

I would like to note that recently prosecutors have done a lot to strengthen supervision of the Russian defense industry, including planned supplies of weapons and equipment to troops. I ask you to continue working on this systematically and in coordination with other agencies.

Once again, I wish you all the best and would like to thank the current and former Russian prosecutors for their conscientious performance. I am sure that Russian prosecutors will continue to faithfully serve our people, the Fatherland and the Law.

I wish you and your loved ones good health and much success.
