Pittsburgh Steelers rule out seven players for Ravens game, including fast-rising rookie

He Pittsburgh Steelers They have ruled out seven players against the Baltimore Ravens. That’s led by starting right guard Mason McCormick, who won’t play a week after suffering a broken left hand. With McCormick out, second-year guard Spencer Anderson will start. Recently activated offensive tackle Calvin Anderson will serve as offensive tackle.

The two wide receivers the Steelers called up from the practice squad are inactive. That would be Scotty Miller and Jamal Angew. It doesn’t hurt the Steelers, but it does use one of the standard lifts for both players.

Quarterback Kyle Allen will be the team’s third emergency quarterback. Meanwhile, there were other surprising healthy inactives. Among them were cornerback Cory Trice Jr. and outside linebacker Preston Smith.

Trice started against the Cincinnati Bengals, but with Donte Jackosn back, Trice is now inactive. As for Smith, he was inactive against the Kansas City Chiefs, and this will likely come down to a specific plan for the matchup.

Lastly, defensive lineman Dean Lowry is inactive again. It will get Isaiahh Loudermilk, who was inactive a week ago, active and in the rotation against a run-heavy team like the Ravens.
