Ireland man dies after the skiing station falls in Bulgaria

A 29 -year -old man from Ireland died Wednesday for wounds suffered the day before in a fall at the Bansko Mountain ski resort in southern Bulgaria.

The tourist was seriously injured after falling on Tuesday from a height of approximately 1,900 feet.

It was found by a mountain rescue service team and taken to a hospital in the nearby city of Razlog in a serious condition with multiple injuries, said emergency services.

According to the initial information, the victim was part of a group that took photos of the surrounding landscape when he lost his balance and fell.

He was taken to a hospital where “life salvation measures were taken, and a complete evaluation of her wounds was performed.

“But despite all the efforts of our medical team, he finally succumbed to his serious injuries,” said Dr. Valentin Belchev.
